You'll learn about many Myth-Conceptions that are partially off-base or completely without foundation.

This will be substantially new information for most people. Some of it may be familiar if you have studied with Joel Kramer, whom Yoga Journal calls the Father of American Yoga. There are some very important elements I teach that I learned from Joel, and are integrated into my system. Even if you have, while Joel taught us well, I have, in certain areas, expanded upon his teachings in a number of ways, looking for new ways to apply it. Which, as an evolutionary teacher, is how Joel wants it to be.

Joel got much of American Yoga started or advanced, and its up to you and I to take it to the next level and to a wider group of people. And if we do a good job, our students will take it to levels beyond that. That's one aspect of what Conscious Evolution of Being Human is all about. (In the section of the website on a Western Philosophy of Yoga, I talk about Time-Binding, a concept expanded upon by Alfred Korzybski, author of Manhood of Humanity. It's about human beings becoming more conscious of how they participate in the advancement, or destruction, of civilization.)

Integrating Yoga & Whole Health Principles

Most of my contributions to yoga, based in great part on Joel's innovations, have to do with working with better posture and movement; with better fitness and flexibility; with alleviating aches, pains and dysfunctions; and general health and well-being. This includes a comprehensive and unique approach to integrating the mind and emotions into physical practice and asana.

To add greater dimension and depth to your understanding of the healing benefits of yogic practices, we'll look at the implications of the philosophy and practices of wholistic medicine and natural healing, and how they integrate with physical, mental and relational yoga and Preventive Yoga Therapeutics. My several years working with wholistic and nutritional physicians — medical doctors, chiropractors and osteopaths — helped me develop these ideas.

Now, to be honest, some of that will only be fully accessible IF you are a Paid Member of the DSL Let-Go Yoga™ e-Courses. But I don't expect everyone to sign up, and if my past students and clients are correct, these ideas really need to get out there. So I will put as much free stuff up as I can.

So just to be clear, and so there's no feeling of deception, I will at times in the e-Letter be including links to things that, in order for you to access, I charge for. … Yes, I will, some of the time, be marketing to you at the same time I am giving you useful information.

These will usually be brief references with links or a short paragraph in the e-mail informing you of what's available. Or telling you about my speaking or training schedule. There will be an occasional longer description if I'm introducing a new product.

(I can just hear all the voices of those saying it's un-spiritual to charge for yoga. … Well, it's also un-spiritual for me to not pay my bills! … And I do not receive grants from any institutions, either.)

It would be nice to make this whole website free, but this site is going to easily be a full time endeavor for me. I will, of course, need to pay for my costs of doing business, as well as the extensive research and development I do. Not to mention food and rent. So it will soon have to pay for itself — and me — if I am going to keep it going with any level of quality and quantity.

AND … You can just Ignore the stuff you don't want to read. Even if you never buy anything, you can keep reading forever. Or until I stop writing, anyway.
